In the early eighties of the previous century (1981-1983) at a youth centre in the Netherlands, a plan was made by a few young artists to set up an ‘Art Collective’. They named the collective ‘HoSuMuKu’. Although their initiative was very promising and can be considered as an early attempt to create a social network long before the Internet was even born, the collective however never came off the ground. The HoSuMuKu idea has been resurrected in 2008 as HoSuMuKu Communications and currently strives to become a canonical network of music publishers.
